Honorary Treasurer

Jubilee Debt Campaign is seeking a qualified finance professional with significant
experience of financial management and oversight in a charitable context to join its Board of Trustees in the role of Honorary Treasurer.

We are a UK charity working to end poverty caused by unjust debt and build a finance system that works for everyone.  Our work combines robust, evidence-based research and policy development with targeted and impactful advocacy and media work and popular education, organising and awareness-raising.

You will need to be able to attend three Board meetings per year in London and quarterly conference calls, and to be available to provide advice to the staff, Chair and Vice-chair on an ad hoc basis.

Jubilee Debt  Campaign has recently undertaken a major review of our governance arrangements and is prioritising bringing on board more female and Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) trustees, as we believe that strengthening diversity in our governance will help to make the organisation more effective in achieving our aims. If you would like to find out more about the governance review process please get in touch with the office. We welcome all applications from eligible candidates, but particularly encourage applications from women, and from BAME candidates.

This is an unpaid position, but travel expenses are provided, and funds are also available to support childcare arrangements if needed.

If you are interested, please see the recruitment pack for full details including job description and person specifcation. To apply, please send your CV with a letter of interest of no more than 2 pages demonstrating how you meet the requirements in the role description to [email protected],uk by 9am on Monday 12 March.

Volunteering

General Office Assistance

Jubilee Debt Campaign greatly appreciates the help provided by volunteers in our office in central London. If you’ve got some spare time, you could make a big difference to our work by helping with routine office tasks such as data entry and preparation of mailings. We don’t expect this to suit people who are looking for a route into paid work in the non-profit sector, but rather supporters who want to offer practical (and much-appreciated) support to the campaign.

Volunteers receive expenses to cover the cost of travel and lunch.

If you think you can help, please send your CV along with details of 2 referees to Matt Gardner, our Administration and Finance Officer. Applicants to volunteer in the office should also indicate their proposed time commitment (which days of the week they are available, how long they can commit to helping in the office). Please send to [email protected] or post to Jubilee Debt Campaign, The Grayston Centre, 28 Charles Square, London N1 6HT.

Thank you.
